why: This post shows my #6 installment in a personal series to use scraps from my craft table! Bunny and Egg Cookies Easter Card on 22 April 2025

The Nines Saturday Night series #1 on 19 April 2025

why: This posting is starting a new series to honor the NINES! Since my mom passed last August 31st, I got thinking about Mother's Day coming up (USA) and want my 'nines' to all get happy mail from me around this special occasion. I do give them cards for their birthdays and major holidays but I thought I would try to make a more concerted effort every month. The 'nines' are my 2 maternal great aunts who are 96 and almost 94, my 3 maternal aunts ranging from 77-86 and 2 paternal aunts who are in their 80s. The other 2 are my dad's 2 surviving cousins who are in their 90s!!!

The 2 paternal cousins of my dad's have cards that have similar layouts and supplies and will be used for a blog commitment on May 2nd. The 3 maternal aunts and 2 maternal great aunts will have their cards shared next Saturday night.

why: This posting shares my newest non-design team project for this personal blog series I started. I need to be purposeful about using these odd leftovers shapes and lots of 1/2" wide or 1" wide side cut strips are waiting. It's been fun to use different layout ideas to get lots shared within 1 card.

Loving my AA #93 DT scripted butterflies 1 layer wonder card on 15 April 2025

why: I've been part of Ally's Angels as a participant before original owner/creator Alessandra ended her ownership. Then Leslie and I became co-owners with Leslie wanting the administrative tasks. So I was the emergency back-up and part of the DT like she also was. Then in late fall 2025, Leslie asked if I'd take over.

Ebb and flow has occurred continuing on to provide artisans an 'anything goes theme' challenge that works on an offset month-long time frame.

when: #93 anything goes theme starts April 15 until May 13, 2025

what: Scripted butterflies 1 layer wonder card

notes:

1. white A2 cardstock base with envelope from pack = Recollections

2. background dabbed/pounced ink from = Sweet Sugarplum stampin' pad by SU

3. ink for butterflies = Rose Red stampin' pad by SU

4. ink for sentiment = Walnut stamp pad by Lawn Fawn

5. ink for round stencil/masking area = Tranquil Tide stampin' pad by SU

6. butterflies and sentiment stamps are from 1 set = old set - My Sentiments Exactly

7. the stencil mask = I made my own using recycled packaging and punched a 2.25" circle from it; positioned it on the folded card base with 1 hand and used the other to ink dab/pounce with a cotton ball until the area was filled

My MTTCC #110 Theme of Something Foil DT project on 11 April 2025

why: This post's purpose is to share a new DT project for MTTCC or My Time to Craft Christmas challenge blog! #110 is to use the supply of foil/foiling. It can be gold, silver, rose gold, copper, etc.

when: #110 starts April 11th and lasts 13 days

what: Gold foil Goodness at Christmas

how-to notes:

1. Mint green cardstock started as 6" square; trimmed to 5.5" square = Art Skills

2. walnut brown small stamp pad (paper edged inking) = Lawn Fawn

3. gold foil swirls and snowflakes stationery section =

4. gold hammered foil stripes decorative tape (part of a 3 diff color/design pack) = DIY Crafts/American Crafts

5. white background plaid print paper punched circle = Recollections

My HQFCB or old TFATU DT #4 AG Fantasy choice Mermaid and Focus Opt Unicorn projects

post's purpose...the why: This posting showcases three design team projects for Heart's Quest Fantasy Challenges Blog. I took over the ownership about 3 years ago! Wow! Time has quickly rolled along! The main theme is always anything goes fantasy and the #4/April focus option is UNICORN. I've got two AGF choices and 1 focus option unicorn cards.

when: #4 in 2025 for HQFCB starts April 5, 2025 and ends on April 30, 2025.

what: PROJECT #1 = "Crazy, weird spring weather!" card

notes for #1:

1. mid-blue tone cardstock; started as 6" square then trimmed to 5.5" square = Art Skills

2. designer paper and image are both from same set = The Paper Shelter

3. sentiment hand-lettered using dark brown marker pen = Zebra Clickarts

4. the designer paper came pre-colored; the image has options in the set/zip file to use a pre-colored or ink outline; I chose the ink outline and used colored pencils = Crazy Art, Crayola, and Marvy Uchida mix from my stash

5. mid-blue tone enamel dots = Freckled Fawn

what: PROJECT #2 = Mermaid is my choice for AGF or Anything Goes Fantasy theme

notes for #2 =

21. seafoam green cardstock 6" square trimmed to 6" x 5" = Art Skills

22. two strips of washi tape = unknown; possibly Pen + Gear or Crafter's Square

23. lettering tile stickers = Freckled Fawn

24. mermaid is iron-on applique = several designs in the package = Crafter's Square

25. acrylic overlay print has tiny dots and "This Makes Me Smile" = very old; Webster's Pages

26. blue cardstock pieces = punched from scrap cardstock = Astrobrights/Neenah

27. light blue and light green gems were alternated = Jolee's Boutique
